This 36-hour class prepares the student for the State written and practical skill certification exam for Firefighter 1. Fees are paid by the state for members of fire departments. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Entry Level Firefighter 47503710

Please read: Students must be sponsored by a fire department to take this class. No class during Thanksgiving break. The written exam will be on 12/16. This class incorporates various types of instruction. The online portion is delivered through Blackboard, and if applicable, Microsoft Teams is used for Online Live sessions. Follow the instructions on the website or Blackboard home page to enroll in the Online Orientation and familiarize yourself with how Blackboard works.
